First Thoughts

alex corvis was framed for the murder of his girlfriend lauren randall. she was stabbed 53 times. he was executed in the electric chair. but because "love is stronger than death" he is brought back by the crow. he finds out that the police are corrupt and makes a habit of killing them one by one. he also meets with his ex-girlfriends sister, erin, played by kirstin dunst (babe!).

eric mabius makes for a very good "crow". strange... as he has short hair and looks nothing like brandon lee!

actually this film is so good i'm about to watch it again just after watching it for the first time! make sure you have a good sub-woofer! there is some fantastic bass!

Synopsis

the credits open with a dead crow lying on it's back, pouring out blood and someone creating a zig-zag scar on his forarm.

after playing chess, alex is taken to the electric chair. he is asked for any last words...

"i loved lauren. i still do. i'm innocent... - alex

alex corvis is killed in the electric chair. after being taken to a freezer he is brought back to life by the crow. he tears off the burnt flesh from his face, to reveal his crow face. he reads about kis electrocution in the prison files. he then escapes from prison and then goes to the grave of his girlfriend.

"i thought i would be with you now, i am not dead and i am not alive. i am remembering and it hurts..." - alex
"i can't be alive... not without you..." - alex

in the flash back we see alex in his pickup arguing with lauren. he is punched out then someone with a scar on his forarm drops a six inch blade onto the passenger seat of the pickup beside alex. it is then that lauren is killed.

he has to find out who killed his girl friend. he starts by seeking out a low life called tommy. he confirms that the names of the police rap sheet that eric has are the people he has to find. tommy had to confirm in court that he had seen alex with the six inch blade. alex checks that he hasn't got a scar on his forarm. he first seeks out a policeman, officer dutton. he carved the word "daisy" into his forehead after killing him.

"i guess it's true, guns don't kill people, maybe knives do" - alex

he drives the next police officers car into a brick wall... after again checking for the scar...

"how can you die when you are already dead? - alex

alex then meets up with lauren's sister erin. he hands her (played by kirsten dunst) the information that lauren found out that got her killed. erin confronted her father, who bought the four cops.

two cops meet up with tommy and throw him out of a window to kill him. tommy was just paid to be a fake eye witness to alex killing his girlfriend.

"two down... two to go..." - alex

alex meets up with erin again, and tells her how lauren fought for her life. there were four cops, but still she took one of her guns.

"she fought for her life, because life is worth living. think about that" - alex

he puts a necklace on erin...

"it connects you to lauren and it connects you to me" - alex

"no matter what happens, i'll make sure that everyone know, that you're innocent" - erin

erin finds her dad dead in a bath tub. alex goes to 1315 berkeley street, the strip club to find the other two cops. alex talks to a stripper/dancer he finds there...

"how old are you? you have one chance to value your life, take it" - alex

in the club alex has a vision of lauren witnessing a killing and by some cops. he runs along the rafters being shot at. alex is shot at by loads of cops which looks a bit like the seen from the first film when brandon lee jumps onto the table in the middle of top dollar's meeting.

"spark... gas... bad combination..." - alex

*big* explosion with the crow flying away... he sees an arm, severed, in the fire, with a scar, and so his power is taken away...

"it's over..." - alex

alex sees a girl who reminds him of lauren and his punched by her boyfriend. he actually starts to bleed. he then goes after the ring leader, the policeman in charge of the others, the captain. alex gets stabbed 53 times, like lauren. erin gets strung up by rope by his secretary and has her mouth sewn up. alex comes back after the crow drops the locket beside alex that he gave to erin.

alex askes the secretary "where did they go" and then sees his lawyer strung up by rope with his left arm severed. the arm that he must have previously seen in the fire with the scar. but this scar was faked by the captain, to make alex think that his mission was over.

erin gets the gun off the captain and shoots him with the one bullet in the chamber. he cuffs her. the policeman drives away with erin in the car, alex leaps ontop and pulls the captains arm from the top of the car, to reveal the true scar. the captain is strapped into the electric chair...

"the jolt, 8 amps, at 2 to 3 thousand volts, it lasts a few seconds. current and surge is turned off and then they check to see if the heart is still beating. if it is *baboom*! another jolt is applied. experts say that unconsciousness occurs before pain has time to register, they agree that electrocution does not hurt. but it does. unimaginatibly. believe me. i don't expect a call from the govenour... any last words captain?" - alex

"yeah... fuck you!" - captain

"you are soo dead" - erin

the electricity is turned on. the captain starts to burn into flames and scream. blood pours from the scar on his arm...

alex is with erin...

"erin... i will always be with you, and so will lauren..." - alex

alex dissappears...

"i was making a choice to be alive in this world... hoping that sometimes they are thinking of me..." - erin
